2. Installation

Download the package from the Downloads section of nextatc.matacchieri.eu; builds are not posted as files on Patreon. Later updates arrive through the built-in updater. Beta and Stable builds need no login; Alpha builds are reserved for Patreon supporters and arrive only through the updater after Connect Patreon in Options -> Update. See Getting Started.

Use the installer included with the release package whenever possible.

1. Extract the downloaded package.
2. Run the installer for your operating system:
   • macOS: Install - macOS.sh
   • Linux: Install - Linux.sh
   • Windows: Install - Windows.bat
3. Start X-Plane and open Plugins -> NextATC.

The installer searches for your X-Plane installation and copies the plugin to:

X-Plane/Resources/plugins/NextATC/

Manual installation is also possible: copy the complete NextATC folder from the package into X-Plane/Resources/plugins/.

Do not rename the plugin folder after installation. Several files are loaded relative to the plugin folder, including settings, voices, region data, and documentation.

macOS Gatekeeper#

If macOS blocks the plugin after installation, use the included macOS trust script if present, or open System Settings -> Privacy & Security and allow the blocked X-Plane plugin. Restart X-Plane after authorising it.
